St. Mary Magdalene - Ora Pro Nobis

Today, July 22nd is the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene, Patroness of the Dominicans and of the Roccasecca Project. It was Angelic Doctor, St. Thomas Aquinas who famously gave her the title the Apostle to the Apostles and it was this title that was chosen in the decree to elevate her memorial to a feast in 2016. St. Mary Magdalene has a special talent for always being in the right place and serving as the instrumental messenger to the Apostles. She was with Our Lord through His Sacred Passion. She was the first to see His empty tomb. She was the first messenger of the Resurrection. She was the first witness of Divine Mercy. 

Many of us have spent the last several days praying for the intercession of St. Mary Magdalene and for the intentions Roccasecca Project. We pray you have a blessed Feast of St. Mary Magdalene and on this day we remind ourselves: "Do not cling to me"  (John 20:17) - do not seek human securities or the vainglory of this world but faith in the Living, Risen Christ.
